He was born in North Philadelphia and resides in Los Angeles.
He was previously a staff writer at GQ Magazine, the first in the magazine’s history to exclusively cover sports, where his viral profiles and interviews were seen in print and online.
Additionally, he’s reported, produced and hosted the “Cam Chronicles” — a yearlong narrative podcast project following Heisman-winning quarterback Cam Newton — through The Ringer and Spotify; hosted “The Climb,” an interview series on boxing through Top Rank and streamed on ESPN+ and hosted GQ’s “All Access” — an on camera series taking the viewer behind the scenes of the biggest sporting events in the world — to the eyes of millions of views across social and digital platforms.
Most recently he was named the Sports Culture Critic at the Los Angeles Times, where he analyzed the convergence of athletics, culture, race and politics through essays and compelling profiles on the biggest names in the sporting world.
To go along with his journalistic work, he has worked across mediums for gigs hosting, copywriting, ghostwriting and creative ideation.
